1. Acceptance and changes
By creating an account or using SurfFishing.app, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. Account creation records the Terms version and acceptance time. If a material change requires renewed agreement, community posting can be paused until you accept the new version.
2. Planning information only
Maps, locations, weather and marine forecasts, tide predictions, bite windows, fish matches, live cameras, reports, and regulation links are informational planning aids. They are not navigation, emergency, legal, medical, or safety advice and may be incomplete, delayed, or wrong.
You are responsible for checking official rules, current conditions, closures, property access, licensing, seasons, size and bag limits, weather, surf, currents, wildlife hazards, and emergency guidance before acting.
3. Accounts
Provide accurate registration information, protect account access, and promptly report suspected compromise. Do not impersonate another person, create accounts to evade restrictions, or attempt to access another member’s private data.
Email verification is required before publishing map posts, photos, comments, reactions, or reports about other users or content. Browsing and basic account setup remain available while verification is pending.
4. Community rules
Do not publish or encourage harassment, threats, hate, sexual exploitation, illegal activity, dangerous conduct, deliberate misinformation, spam, malware, fraud, doxxing, or private locations you do not have the right to share. Do not interfere with access controls, rate limits, reporting tools, or the operation of the service.
Respect private property, protected habitat, sensitive species, access restrictions, other anglers, and ethical fish handling. A map post does not grant access or permission to enter or fish a location.
5. Your content
You keep ownership of content you submit. You give SurfFishing.app a non-exclusive license to host, process, reproduce, resize, sanitize, and display it as needed to operate the visibility setting you chose. Public and approximate content may be seen and reshared by others.
Only upload material you created or have permission to use. Do not rely on approximate coordinates alone to conceal a spot; remove visible clues you do not want to disclose.
6. Reports, blocking, and moderation
Members can report posts, post comments, live-camera comments, and users and can block or unblock another user. High-confidence automated text filters can reject clearly prohibited threats, exploitation, hate, dangerous downloads, or spam before publication. Because automated filters can make mistakes and do not replace human judgment, ambiguous content remains subject to reports and moderator review.
Authorized moderators can restrict visibility, remove content, limit an account, or preserve a safety and enforcement record. Moderation decisions and reasons are logged. Removed posts and comments normally enter a hidden 30-day appeal window before scheduled hard deletion; related sanitized media is removed before the database record. Report snapshots, enforcement records, and limited legal or safety records may be retained.
Repeated or serious violations can result in content removal, muted posting, account restriction, or account termination. Urgent legal or safety requests may require immediate action. Use the public Support form and published review targets to appeal or provide additional context; no sign-in is required.
7. Service availability and third parties
The service may change, pause, or retire features. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, permanent storage, a particular search ranking, a correct fish match, or the accuracy of third-party data. Third-party maps, weather, government data, cameras, and recognition services apply their own terms.
8. Responsibility and disclaimers
Use SurfFishing.app at your own judgment and risk. To the extent allowed by applicable law, the service is provided without warranties of accuracy, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or responsibilities that cannot legally be excluded.
9. Contact
Use the public Support form for general help, account access, privacy, abuse, content, copyright, safety, or an appeal. Signed-in members can also create an account-linked ticket from the app. Urgent safety or exposed-private-information reports target review within 24 hours, other abuse reports within 2 business days, and moderation appeals an initial response within 7 calendar days; these are targets rather than guaranteed resolution times.
